Install RadPix Capture
A demo beta version of the RadPix Capture program can be downloaded and
installed from
http://radpix.com/capture/install.html
- It will ask for an email address, then will immediately send a temporary registration code back to you.
- This temporary registration code is good for 30 days. The program will install over the internet (and also update if needed).
- A quick help screen will appear each time the program is run. Very briefly, an icon will install into the tray of your PC (by the clock). You then right click on the icon to select output. Then LEFT click on the icon to activate the capture program.
Note: It is best to turn off all screen overlays on a PACS before captures. You may need to read the help file for this info.
How to Use RadPix Capture
When the program is first run, a splash screen (shown above) appears which gives instructions.
- Click OK to close the splash screen
- The RadPix Capture icon
will then be present in the Windows tray (bottom right hand corner of the desktop, next to the clock)
- LEFT click on the icon to activate the capture program.
- A yellow cross-hair will appear on the screen.
- LEFT click in the upper left corner of the area to be captured and DRAG across the image to select a region to be captured.
- Release the mouse to capture the selected region.
How to Configure RadPix Capture
RIGHT click on the tray icon
to select options.
Choose output destination for captured image
The border color of the icon will change depending on the output destination selected.
Tips
- Turn off screen overlays on the web PACS to prevent patient information from appearing on the captured image.
- The keystroke to advance images should be entered in the setup option to work correctly. The default is {right arrow}
- After you have captured an area of the screen once, if you hold down the {control} key and LEFT click on the tray icon, the same area will be captured from the screen. This is useful for capturing an image from a CT or MRI study, advancing to a different image in the web-pacs, then capturing the same area again. The image size will be the same for both images. Great time saver for PowerPoint!
This program supports multiple monitors, in any configuration.
