|
| The Window / Level Tool is used to change the Window and Level
settings for the current image. To change the Window and/or
Level for the Image, left-click with the mouse anywhere on the image and then drag the
mouse [with the left-button down] as follows to change these values:
| Up |
Decrease Level |
| Down |
Increase Level |
| Left |
Decrease Window |
| Right |
Increase Window |
Once you start changing the Window and/or Level, you can move the
cursor anywhere on the screen (even outside the image area), and as long as you keep the
left button down, the Window and Level will continue to change. If you have enabled Image Tool Tips, a yellow box will track with the mouse
showing the current Window and Level settings as you change them. In addition, the status
bar at the bottom of the RadPix Main Window also shows the current Window and Level, as
well as the delta values between the current settings and the settings before you started
to change the settings.
Right Click on the image or on the Window/Level Tool icon, and the Window/Level Popup Menu will appear - see below.
When the Window / Level Tool is active, the Cursor looks like this:

| Compute W/L from Distribution |
This will compute a Window and Level for
the current Image based on statistical calculations of the raw pixel data. The Level is
computed from the mean of the pixel data. Depending on the setting of Default Window Computation option,
the Window is either the maximum pixel value minus the minimum pixel value, or equal to 3
times the standard deviation of the data. |
| Same W/L All Images |
Selecting this item sets an option that
will cause all of the Window and Level values for the loaded images to be set to the
values for the current Image. In addition, when you change the Window and Level for any
image, the Window and Level for all loaded images will change as well. |
