| The ROI Tool is used to select a Region of Interest (ROI) on the
image. The ROI can be either a circle or an ellipse. RadPix will compute the Mean data
value and Standard Deviation of all of the pixel data in the ROI, as well as the diameter
and area. To create an ROI on an Image, select the ROI Tool, then left-click at the starting point for the ROI and drag the cursor (with the left-button down) to the ending point. For a circle, the starting and ending points are on the diameter of the circle, while for an ellipse, the starting and ending points are the opposite corners of the rectangle that contains the ellipse. If you have Image Tool Tips enabled, a yellow box will track with the cursor showing the diameter, area, mean and standard deviation for the pixel data in the ROI. In addition, the status bar at the bottom of the RadPix Main Window will display these values. If you have enabled Show Annotation On Image, the selected annotations will also appear on the image. Right Click on the image or the ROI Tool icon, and the ROI Tool Popup Menu will appear - see below. When the ROI Tool is active, the Cursor looks like this: |
