Send Email Dialog

This dialog is used to send images as email attachments. The first time you run this command, you will be given the opportunity to configure your email server information via the Email Configuration Dialog. You can send the images in four different formats, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, as show in the Image Format Table below.

Note that some email servers have size limits on file attachments, and DICOM files can be quite large (512 x 512 image ~ 514 KB). If you have many images that you want to send, you might consider sending them in separate emails.

Dialog Fields
TO You can directly type email addresses into this field, separating each one with a semicolon, or you can push the button and select addresses from your predefined contact list.
CC You can directly type email addresses into this field, separating each one with a semicolon, or you can push the button and select addresses from your predefined contact list.
BCC You can directly type email addresses into this field, separating each one with a semicolon, or you can push the button and select addresses from your predefined contact list.
CC to Your Email Checking this box will send a copy of the email to your local email account
Return Address This is your local email address where the CC'ed emails will be sent.
Send each image in a separate Email Checking this box will cause each image to be sent in a separate email. Some email servers limit the size of email attachments, and since the images tend to be large, especially with DICOM or compressed images, sending separately can help get around the email server's limits.
JPEG Send the images in JPEG format.
JPEG Compression Set the compression level for the JPEG, with 0 being smallest, lowest quality and 100 being largest, best quality.
TIFF Send the images as uncompressed TIFF
DICOM Sends the images in raw DICOM format. You can have the header cleared automatically before the image is sent.
RadPix Compressed Sends the images in compressed RadPix format. You can have the header cleared automatically before the image is sent.
Clear Image Header Select this option to clear confidential patient information from the image header before the email is sent.
Clear Parameters This button will open the Clear Image Headers dialog. Use this to define image header fields to be cleared.
Selected Images All of the images in this list will be sent as attachments to the recipients selected.
Select All Loaded Images This will select all images currently loaded in RadPix, and place them in the list of images to send.
Remove Remove the selected images from the list of images to send.
