| RadPix was created to allow the user to rapidly and
easily transfer radiological images from a scanner or workstation to a personal computer
for educational and documentation purposes. It began as a program to simplify the transfer
of Images from GE Scanners, and has since evolved into a DICOM-based program that
facilitates creation of Microsoft© PowerPoint slides and other presentations from the
native images. The distracting annotations seen on CT, MRI, and ultrasound slides are also not present on slides created with RadPix. There are also options available to export the images to other graphics formats, so they can be used in other programs. Full compatibility with other Windows-based programs allows the user to transfer images directly to other applications. Webmasters who use radiological images will also benefit from its flexibility in creating JPEG files ready for the web, and its image exporting features. Development continues on this program, and specific features can be implemented for individual or group use, including radiologists, i.v. contrast vendors, radiological hardware vendors, and students. |
