The Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2 is required for installation. They can be downloaded as part of the Microsoft Update program, or can be directly downloaded from Microsoft.com (dotnetfx.exe).

You will be unable to send images to a PC if a FIREWALL is in use. You will need to open up a port number to receive images.
Firewalls include Symantec, and Zone Alarm, and the built-in firewall in Windows XP. Consult the documentation to learn how to open up a port and allow a program to use it.

In Windows XP, you can access the Firewall by:
Start Menu / Settings / Control Panel / Windows Firewall
Click the Exceptions tab, and then the Add Program button
Click Browse, and navigate to c:\Program Files\RadPix (or where RadPix is installed)
Select "simple_storage.exe", then click OK
Click "Add Port"
Enter "RadPix" in name box
Enter port number (default is 104)
TCP button should be selected
Click OK
(Back to Windows Firewall window)
Click OK

This will open up port 104. If you uninstall RadPix, you will need to manually remove this setting.

When you run RadPix the first time, it will ask several questions regarding setting up a DICOM client on your computer.  Use the default settings, which will create a DICOM client with AETitle DesktopPC and port 104

You then add a DICOM client to your workstation or scanner and can then start sending images to your PC.

You can also try out RadPix features by downloading one of the sample images below.
